Hello,
my name is Regina Williams. My family and I have been attending
First Baptist Church Lavon for about a year. I remember after our
first Sunday visit Brother Clint and Mark Strebeck came to our home to
welcome us and get to know us a little better. One of the
questions they asked was if we were involved in our church back home.
I explained that I was on staff working in the elementary youth
department but, my real passion was the Celebrate Recovery Bible Study
class I led for hurting women.
Seven years ago I discovered this radically life changing bible
study. Through this study I was able to overcome many of my
hurts, hang-ups, and habits. I learned to accept God's amazing
grace and realized that the hurts I've experienced in life can be used
to glorify Him. I learned to take off my "mask" of perfection, to
be open and honest about my past. By removing the mask and
sharing what God has done in my life with other women, I can help them
live the life God has intended for them... a life without bitterness,
anger, addiction, or dysfunction. By far the greatest thing God
has shown me is that I can stop the generational sin and bondage passed
down from my parents.
I am starting a new class on Monday, February 16, 2009 at 6:30
